Maven Jan shares with us her take on the sketch with this very "masculine" layout of her son Kyle. - Mr. Fix It himself! We're lovin' all of the gears & paint splatters, and how she made the sketch work for her! Great job Jan! 

Journaling reads - You remind me so much of your Dad. He could fix almost anything. Sometimes he would have to think on it for a couple of days,  but in the end, whatever was broken, he would fix it. July 24th, 2021.

New Month - New Sketch - New Guest DesignerJill Rugg Creating w/ Sketch #479 by Jenessa Franco

Welcome to August 2021 

As always, another new month with 4 new amazing sketches to work with!!

To start the New Month off, we'll be working with Sketch #479 

created by our very own talented designer Jenessa Franco. 

 One of the great things about this sketch is that it's quite versatile, and 

I'm looking forward to showing you all of the examples created

 by Team One for you this week. 

As we start the week off - Jill Rugg is our returning Guest Designer, and is sharing with us her take on the sketch above. The photos are of her grandson using the swing for the first time! Jill chose her embellishments to compliment the memories they were making and the fun that he was having. We think she did a great job!! Don't you agree??  

 Great job Jill and thank you for sharing your talents with us again this month at Sketches in Thyme!

. . .and because we all want to know, here's a little bit about Jill - 

 I live in Somerset, Pennsylvania with my husband, our 22-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son and my little grandson. I am a high school teacher and use scrapbooking as my creative outlet. I have been crafting since I was a child, but in 2003 I fell in love with scrapbooking, and it has become my favorite hobby. Of course, my family photos are always my inspiration for my layouts. In 2010 I started a blog and love participating in all the fun challenges! Thank you SIT for having me as Guest Designer. It is a big honor for me!
