Hi!! My name is Stacia and I live in Manheim, Pennsylvania. My home consists of my fiancé, Keith (we will be married this Spring), my 9 year old daughter, Alyson and our rambunctious Pit Bull, Roxy. I’ve recently graduated from Penn State with my BS in Business! While awaiting a new job opportunity, I am currently an administrative assistant at a hospital. I began scrapbooking in 2002 while pregnant with my daughter and I have been addicted ever since! I would consider my style to be very clean and graphic. I think it is extremely important to have my photographs take the center stage rather than the “decorations”. I have recently been invited to be a member of a design team and consider that to be a big accomplishment for me. I work better with deadlines and it gives me motivation when I don’t have a whole lot. I am excited to share my work with you this month as a Guest Maven at Sketches In Thyme!

Hello everyone!!! My name is Eleftheria Dramitinou, 35 years old, and I live in a small island in Greece, called Samos. I work full time as a civil servant. I am happily married to a very supportive man for 8 years now, and we have a 6,5 years old girl and a 4 years old boy, that are mainly the source of my creativity. I was always trying to find ways to express myself and I think that scrapbooking is the best way to do so. Back in 2009 I was looking through internet for ideas for my sons baptism and I tried to make his guest book alone... I really enjoyed the whole process. My first layout was completed later that year that's it. I am obsessed!!!!! I love colours, flowers, handmade embelishements and i try to fill every tiny space with something... colour, sticker, mists anything and I enjoy learning new techniques and getting my hands dirty. This is my first time as a Guest Designer and it is a great hounour for me to be along such talented ladies!!! Enjoy!

Happy New Year from all of us at Sketches in Thyme!! We had such a fabulous 2011 with all of you, and hope you've enjoyed the changes to the blog including our new original sketches and the beautiful new look to the blog designed by Vanessa.

The Mavens have been busy working on their sketches and layouts to get your mojo working on 2012, and we'll be back on Thursday with our first challenge of the new year, but first, we have our 2 January Guest Mavens to introduce to you!

Hi my name is Karen aka Soccerboyzmom. I am the Mother of 2 grown men and 2 adopted Beagles. I am a High School teacher by day and a scrapbooker and card maker by night. I have found that scraping is cheaper than therapy and much more relaxing. I love to try new techniques and work outside of my comfort zone. My favorite is to use my CuttleBug to emboss and distress. Hey there, my name is Wendi Robinson and I'm married to my hottie, Jeremy for over 13 years now, and we have 2 super, wonderful kids, Austin who is 10 and Sydney who is 8 and a little bundle of joy on the way, due in just a couple of weeks!!! So I couldn't be more excited. Right now, I'm a stay at home mom, who stays busy with the kids, and who LOVES to scrap and create on the side!! I love everything from layouts to cards to altering, I just LOVE it all. I started scrappin back before my son was born, but been a serious scrapper for about 7 years now!!! My guilty pleasures are peanut butter M&Ms, Diet Cherry Pepsi, my ipod/itunes, Depeche Mode, zumba classes and walking. Introducing our December Guest Mavens!!

So pleased to introduce two fabulously talented scrappers who will be joining us this month as Guest Mavens here at Sketches in Thyme! First we have Crystal Beshear, you can visit her blog here!

and here's a little about Crystal:

I am now a SAHM, after spending nearly 15 years in print media, who lives in Oklahoma and is happily married to the love of my life! We have an absolutely amazing 15 year old son (who's going on 30...lol!) and a 7 year old fur baby, a Boxer we rescued from a local shelter. I started scrapping about 5 years ago when my mother-in-law bought me a kit for Christmas. Two years later she also got me a Cricut for Christmas and that was it for me, I was totally hooked! Less than a year later I was on my first design team and had a blog. I've not slowed down since and absolutely love the creative outlet it offers me, plus it allows me to preserve so many memories to hand down to our son or look back on when my husband and I are old and gray! I am also super excited about having a creation published in the upcoming February 2012 CARDS Magazine! When I'm not crafting or spending time with my family, I'm usually reading, cooking or playing taxi driver to our son & his friends. My faith in the Lord is strong and I give all credit to Him, especially for all the wonderful blessings He bestows upon us each day. I can't wait for you to stop by my blog so we can get to know each other better!

And here's a little about Felicia:

I am am a mother of 2 princesses (so they tell me), aged 7 and 10, and married to my best friend for the last 15 years. I originally started out making cards in 2001 when my first daughter was born, and eventually graduated to scrapbooking in 2003 with the birth of my second daughter. Though I love to shop for all the latest gadgets, papers and embellishments, I find that when I actually do sit down to scrap, I tend to be more of a "simple" scrapbooker. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and you can actually catch me lining up photos with a ruler so that the photos are all exactly 0.5 inches away from the end of the paper! In the past year, I haven't had as much "me" time, and have found that sketches are a great way to keep me scrapbooking as I can usually complete a layout in a couple of nights! I'm very excited to be a Guest Maven!

Sketches in Thyme Design Team Call!!

The 6 month term for our talented Mavens is drawing to a close, and while some will be staying on, we are looking for new members to join our Sketches in Thyme design team! If you enjoy creating layouts from sketches, partipating in blogs and motivating others to take part in fantastic challenges, this might be your chance to be a part of our fantastic Design Team! Your term would run November-April, and you would be asked to complete 2 layouts per month. If you would like a chance to be considered, here's what you need to do:

1-Create a new layout based on our sketch below.

2-Post about our DT call on your blog, along with your take on our sketch.

3-Leave a comment here telling us that you would like to be considered for the DT, along with a link to your blog post!

Here's a little info from Sheyla:

I am Sheyla, 33. I am a mother of two boys who are the reason of my life and my inspiration. My husband is the best person I've ever met. Great man and my best friend! We have been married for almost 13 years.
I am a stay at home mom and I have been scrapbooking since 2006. I use the night for creation, it is my free time, when the boys are asleep.

We lived three years in the U.S. (2007 - 2010). It was the best experience of my life. It was where I learned most about scrapbooking. Here in Brazil, scrapbooking is still new, the supplies are very expensive and hard to find. Most scrapbook stores are in big cities. I live in a small city. (40.000 people)

I don’t scrapbook as a profession, but I do teach scrapbooking once a week, at a handicraft shop in the nearby town. I love scrapbooking; it is a therapy for me. I relax all the hustle and bustle of daily life.

It's been a pleasure to be a Guest Designer in Sketches in Thyme. I love taking challenges. I use the blog sketches in my classes! I want to see many beautiful works during the month of July!

Wow- big thanks to all who entered our challenges this month, 42 total entries!! The Mavens have been having fun this week looking through each entry and visiting your blogs to decide on our top 3 as well as our big may winner!
